Holistic Home Guide is written by siblings Ellen and Greg Kinsey. We write about cookware, kitchen appliances, natural materials, bed and bath, and water and air, for readers who want to buy once and keep it for years.
What we look for
- Things built to last: stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, glass, wood, and natural fibers like cotton, linen and wool.
- Clear material facts we can check, especially for anything that touches food or water.
- Products we would happily use in our own home.
How we work with brands
Product testing. Send us a product and we use it at home. If it earns a place in a guide, it carries our Tested by us badge, with what we liked and what we didn’t. A product is never a promise of a placement or a good review.
Our picks stay ours. We decide on our own which products make our guides and how we describe them, and we always name the downsides.
